Pragmatic Play releases Gates of Olympus 2500: four bonus modes and multipliers up to 2500x

Gates of Olympus 2500

On September 28, Pragmatic Play released Gates of Olympus 2500, the latest instalment in its Zeus-themed slot series. The new game retains the cascading-win mechanic but introduces multipliers of up to 2500x and four free-spin options. A wheel selects the bonus mode before it begins.

The 2500x figure refers to an individual multiplier symbol. It should not be confused with the maximum win: the stated payout cap is 25,000 times the stake.

How the new bonus wheel works

The base game retains a six-by-five grid. Eight matching symbols in any positions are enough to form a winning combination. Winning symbols disappear, making room for new ones, and several combinations can form in succession during a single spin.

Four or more Scatter symbols trigger 15 free spins. Before the first spin, the wheel selects one of four options: Free Spins 1, Free Spins 2 or their corresponding Super Free Spins versions.

The differences concern how multipliers are counted. In Free Spins 1, multipliers that appear alongside a winning combination are added to the accumulated total. In Free Spins 2, all multipliers that appear are counted, and the accumulated value affects subsequent wins. In both Super Free Spins modes, the minimum multiplier starts at 10x.

What has changed compared with earlier releases

The developer has not replaced the familiar foundation of the series: combinations still form without fixed paylines, and multipliers appear both in the base game and during the bonus. The main innovation lies in the free-spin rules: before each bonus, the game determines which multipliers will accumulate and how they will affect subsequent combinations.

Pragmatic Play's director of public relations, Sharon McHugh, explained that the aim was to introduce more bonus-game options without changing the core rules.

Gates of Olympus already had versions with increased multipliers and special Scatter symbols. For example, Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, released in 2025, had a stated maximum win of up to 50,000x.
